tenth journal - my last observation in micro teaching

well, last but not least. that sentence can be described this presentation group. they have interact well and do the teaching process as expected. good job.

but one suggestion for them is that do not use large number in an instant for low level grader. start with low number and slightly bigger than before.

and last, overall they did a good job. congratulations... :)

ninth journal - my observation

well, in this turn, my friend also did a very good job too.

but also i get some lesson and some suggestion for some of them. the lesson is that do not think the children can take a presentation.

i ever heard that children concentration is aboyt 5 minute, so what we must do is that we need some ice breaking or anything that can attract them. so e careful when we use some presentation.

but overall, they did a good job back there. congratulations... :)

eight journal - my observation

for this time, i didn't get many lesson to be learnt. i think like that because my friend has already improved in the way their teaching.
the lesson is that we must use a proper and match game or an ice breaker to be the transition for the learning process.
i do think like that because last time, i see my friend is very attractive in the way their teacing. but one thing that must be noted is that they use a game that i think is not very match with the lesson that they give.
but overall, they did good job and they had already improved in many ways. congratulations to them... :)

seventh journal - my observation

today, is the 7th presentation, many things i learn from today, not so essentials, but it is needed

but before i mentioned things i have learned, i want to congrate to veronica and yunita, they did a good job. congratulations... :)

first thing i learn is that we need to remind kids that mock the other kids when they make some mistake. well, it is necessary for us to do that since it is essentials and important to make and build someone mental and their bravery. so make sure do not make them become less confidence than before. if it is not done, then we'll get a passive (very passive) person in our class.

things i learn next is that we are the teacher in the class, it is true that we need to be their friend, but also don't forget to teach them about the manner, so that the next indonesian generation will be better than before, inside and outside, manner and knowldege.

and the last things is that don't forget to clean the clasroom, well keep the classroom clean so that we can make the student learn to be clean and more, people and earth love it. :)

that's the things i learn in this presentation group. i really hope that we can learn and be better than before. and one more, congratulations for veronica and yunita for your presentation, you do your best and you already did a good job... :)

sixth journal - fourth teaching group - my presentation and observation

pheewwwww, i have already present my teaching practicum. first thing i want to do is to thank to God for all of his gift so that i can present my teaching practicum, and next is people that always support me and help me along in my teaching practicum.

well, there is nervous there when i present my teaching, but gladly i can do that, and also my friend whose got the turn after me, did a good job too. and well, i can't concentrate because i'm still nervous after that, but of course i have things that i learned fro my friend and myself too.

the first thing i've got from my presentetaion is that never say anyting rude, well i said about this before, but i'm totally forgot when i came into the front of the class,hehehe

and more use a proper role play for the children, well, from yesterday, i tought that my presentation is a bit too cruel for 2 grader. so the key is to use proper media for the children. that's what i've learn from my presentation

the next thing i've learn is that from my friend, when you use video as your media, make sure that you still explain them maually, because sometimes, the children doesn't understand what is the material if it is just from the video. so make sure that we always need to explain manually.

that's all the thing that i've learned from this week's presentation. my friend did a splendid work, and i'm not sure that i've good too. but i think that i have done the presentation with my all and i am proud and relieved. :)

fifth journal-third teaching group-my observation

well, i don't get many lesson in this time. all because i just can say "wow" to my friend, they are very awesome, seems they hav learn so many things and made their presentation so awesome.
beside that indeed that i don't get many lesson, but i get some useful lesson to improve my teaching skill.
the first thing is that when you are become the person in front of the class, not only ou become the teacher but also you have become the moderator of the class. it means that when you see some noises or anything else that can disturb the class, you can tel them not to being disturbing in class, in soft word of course. and beside that, you must become a moderator too when the discussion is up. because as i see before, the class become too crowded andthe crowded is not too necessary as their just jokng around. so son't just sit and watch but also mderate them.
the last thing is the pitch and intonation that you must use in the teaching process, like when you are giving some role play, don't just read it, but also express it so that the role play will bemore attractive.
well, that's things that i'm learn from before. my friend did a very awesome work, and we must doour best when our turn is up.

fourth journal-second teaching group-my observation

the second group presentation. It is better than before of course. and more i get things that i can use for my presentation too.
there is several things that i get from this presentation. the first thing is that i learn that we must not only prepared to deliver the material but also we need to understand well about the material that we need to deliver. in the presentation, it is okay when the student is us, because we understand the material. but what if the student is the real kid, what will we do? because they are still "white", they just accept something and use them for their understanding. that's why we need to understand well to delivering our material. that is the first thing that i learn from the presentation.
the second thing is that we need to use everything in the class efficiently and effectively, for the example, if the time is limited, and we want to make a group discussion, don't force them to do so, just think another method to do. and we need to use the thing we use like paper, marker, etc efficiently. if we can tell the student, just tell them so that we can use paper more efficiently.
the next thing is that we need to use a proper size of the media, what i mean proper is that we need media that can be seen by all of our student. that will be better if we do that, so that the student won't cmplaining that they ca't see the media
the next thing is that we need to ask the student opinion too, because if we do that the student will have a feeling that they are involved in the learning process, and it will build the psychology of the children to make they brave when they are delivering their opinion.
and the last thing is that things that told by the lecturer, we need to use a proper backsound, sound that not too noisy and simple. why? because our audience is the children. not the people like our friend or someone else.
well, from this presentation i get many things and also, my friend done a very good job, they are really improved than before. what i think is that, we need to do our best when the time's come.

third journal - first teaching group - my observation

my first tought when i go to the micro teaching class to see my friend is curious.
the first person who present the teaching is wahyu rochmawati, the next person windhiastri nur aini pramesti and the last is kristina budi lestyarini.
there are sveral things that i can learn from those 3.
the first thing is that i need to be more interactive to students. thing i learn that, be more interactive and our students will be more concentrate because the learning process not so boring. we can ask the student some answer and we can ask the student to help us write something. this method will allow us to be more attractive to students
the next thing is that we need to add some activity in our learning, same with the first thing i mentioned before, this will make our learning process become better than before, become attractive and won't make the student become bored. we can make some activity to make our lesson more attractive.
the last thing is that, try to make our students understand the material themselves. don't just tell the students what to do, make them to think what is the material that will be told to them. this is a difficult thing for teacher, but this method will make the students mind organized and well used than before.
that's all that i get form the first present in first week, all of them were good, i will try my best when my turn is up.

My feeling when start to teach the group is obviously nervous. but thank GOD, my nervous is gone as i teach the group. after that i feel enjoy to teach, but i feel not so maximal because i do not prepare well for my presentation. but the show must go on.
what i get from the presentation is that some lesson that is very important to me to improve my teaching skill. thanks for my friend and the lecturer as well, for the comment so that i can improve my teaching skill.
the thing i get is that i need to be more variative in teaching, the lecturer tell me about that. he said that it will be better if i put some activity in the lesson, so that the student not only sit and listen but also do some activity so that the class will be more attractive and not make the students gets bored. this is the important thing that i get so that i can improve my teaching skill as well
the other thing is that i need to prepare better than before, before i am going to go to teach other. that preparation is just not about the thing that need to be delivered during the lesson but also the props or the media that will be used in the learning process. like when i will show the student the example of the ID card, i need to prepare them, not take them when i am in the process of teaching.
that's the thing that i have learned from my presentation, i'm sure that it is an important thing to remember and need to be practiced.
for what i will develop is that based from the lesson that i get from the first presentation, i will prepare my preparation become better than before, i need to learn the lesson plan, so that i can teach better than before.
and the next thing that i will sure to improve is that i need to make some activity for the student, so that the student will be more active and not only sit and listen.
that's all of my second jounal and i am thank you to the GOD again because He is always with me from the start, middle and end when in my teaching practicum yesterday, and overall, i am glad with my first teaching because it's a good teaching practicum for the first time in front of my friend, altough i need to improve in preparation and become more variative in my teaching.

micro teaching - first comment and journal

When at first i hear this lesson what i think is that i must teach some kids as the lesson requirement. but today i realized that the micro teaching is a lesson required the student to practise about the teaching by teaching the fellow students as the students of this course.
a little comment about this lesson is of course about the lab that owned by the faculty of teaching and education.
it is not surprised to me that we must stand in a line to e able to use that, as we can see the faculty just have 1 lab and it is used by a couple of hundred of student in the campus.
but i really hope we can use the lab, so we can experience what is the feel of using the micro teaching lab.

about the suggestions, i really don't have so much advice, because i have no experience of this before, but there is several things that i want to share.

1. The first is that maybe the lecturer will be not so serious or grumpy, not only children that doesn't like the people who always serious and angry in teaching. not only us, but also most of people. this lesson is a practise to us, so when we get happy mood, we can be more productive and we can train more effectiely
2. The second thing is that we expect the lecturer to not only assess us through the examination but also from the process of pacticum and etc. we know that there is so much kind of people, some of them are very good at the examination and some of them are poor on examination but they good at he other point (practicum like presentation or anything else)

that's some of advice that i can share, i hope that this advice will be very helping at the teaching and learning proccess in this whole semester

and as for expectations, i really expect and hope that my teaching skills will be improved so that i can be better than before in the future, and i hope i can get some tips and trick of teaching too.
